A scan of Tiafan databases reveals the following facts about Edward Bartholomew:
He was born on Tiafa, his grandparents having emigrated from Earth.
He attended university and graduated with acceptable marks.
After graduation he was hired by Verta4 Spacefarers Insurance in their claims department and within a year married Melissa Lorre, a first generation Tiafan, whom he may have met while at university.
He slowly rose through the ranks at VSI and was an associate vice president when, five years after their marriage, his wife and one of her male friends were killed. Suspicion fell on Mr. Bartholomew but according to the news reports of the day there was not enough evidence to try him in court. He lost his job at VSI and civil cases were being prepared against him when he abruptly left the planet, joining the Federation.
He rose through the ranks with unremarkable scores, associating himself with the Sovereign Free Trade Guild, an alliance of helpful traders, and built a reasonable enterprise, earning more than enough to fund his travels.
After being repeatedly shot down by pirates, he joined the Esteemed Pilots Syndicate and began receiving horrific reports from liberated slave camps and drug stations. The images haunted his dreams and he vowed to do everything in his power to free the slaves from their torturers.
Over the next two years he developed his skills and business until he purchased his first Nano and joined the legendary Angels of Liberty. Since then he has been credited with the destruction of 371 drug stations, 445 slave camps, 64 dark domes and 18 military outposts guarding illegal buildings.
